Gin Blossoms headlining M.E.N.U.S. fundraiser

The Gin Blossoms will perform live at this weekend's Epicurean Charitable Foundation's grand event M.E.N.U.S.

The Gin Blossoms formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona, and rose to fame with their song "Hey Jealousy." Other hit songs include "Follow You Down," As Long as It Matters," "Follow You Down,"
 "Mrs. Rita" and "Until I Fall Away."
 
M.E.N.U.S. stands for Mentoring & Educating Nevada's Upcoming Students. The money raised from the event will be used to provide scholarships to deserving local high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in the hospitality industry or culinary arts.

In addition to the performance by the Gin Blossoms, the event will feature an array of premium beverages and freshly-prepared dishes from many of the finest chefs and restaurants in the city.

Some of the participating restaurants include BLT Steak, Capital Grille, Delmonico Steakhouse, DW Bistro, Giada, Gordon Ramsay BurGR, Guy Fieri's Vegas Kitchen and Bar, Libertine Social, Nine Fine Fishermen, Shake Shack, The Barrymore, The Dapper Doughnut, Trattoria Reggiano, Top of the World and Zenshin Asian Restaurant.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in an extravagant silent auction. Some of the items up for bid include a private dinner at home prepared by Executive Chef Rick Giffen from Top of the World, a dinner prepared by Chef Johnny Church, a private tour and tasting for four at Ferrari-Carano Vineyard in Healdsburg, California, a two-night stay at Beach Retreat & Lodge at Lake Tahoe, a 3-day, 2-night stay at A Cowboys Dream Bed and Breakfast in Alamo, Nevada, a 2-night stay at MGM Grand, a Rock Star mini fridge, a Vitamix Blender and more.

Since its inception in 2001, ECF has given $1.5 million in scholarships to Clark County students. ECF is comprised of 25 of Las Vegas' top food & beverage and hospitality executives dedicated to assisting students in becoming future leaders in their professions.
