LOS ANGELES, CA (KTNV) -- Trash cans thrown and fists flying!

A wild brawl broke out at a high school in Los Angeles. The fight started because of new rules to restrooms.

Officers say students and adults were protesting across the street from the school because they're upset about the newly-installed gender neutral bathrooms.

When classes got out, several students crossed the street and confronted the demonstrators.

That's when the fighting started, and things escalated quickly! Once police showed up the protesters left.

No one was seriously hurt. One person was detained.
