Down 8–0 in the first inning, Summerlin South Little League stormed all the way back — scoring 22 runs to beat Utah by mercy rule, 22–12, on Tuesday.
The Nevada state champs now advance to the Mountain Region championship game on Friday at 2 p.m., where they’ll face the winner of Thursday’s elimination game between Utah and Wyoming.
With a win, Summerlin South would punch its ticket to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
