PAHRUMP (KTNV) — The Nye County Sheriff's Office says three employees have been placed on leave after records show they visited a home where a disabled mother and son were being held against their will at least two times before finally being rescued.

The NCSO revealed the investigation via the agency's Facebook account Tuesday night.

The media release revealed two Nye County deputies and a sergeant were placed on administrative on Nov. 18, after records showed the apartment where the mother and son were kept had been visited twice by authorities and they failed to notice the circumstances.

The video by NCSO said no other details were releasable by law and added no other information was available.

The mother and son were discovered on Nov. 16 living in disgusting conditions.
