Nevada Democrats to host mock caucus

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The First in The West Democratic Caucus in Nevada is less than 50 days away.

In preparation for the third primary election of the voting season, the Nevada State Democratic Party and the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Democratic Caucus will host a mock caucus on Monday to prepare and educate prospective voters and volunteers on expectations for the Feb. 22 vote.

AAAPI will also offer caucus materials in Tagalog for the first time this election cycle to better connect with growing Asian American and Pacific Islander populations in Southern Nevada.

The mock caucus will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday the SEIU Local 1107 offices.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the organization says the program begins promptly at 6 p.m.
