The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

4:21 P.M.
On May 2, Henderson police received information regarding allegations of lewdness with a child who was under the age of 14. The investigation led to the arrest of 27-year-old Matthew Terry on May 7.

Authorities also confirmed that Terry was a police officer employed with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at the time of the incident.

2 P.M.
According to the Clark County School District, two students were in a car parked in the Shadow Ridge High School parking lot. They were seen on social media holding and showing off a BB gun that looked like a handgun. CCSD police were notified, and the students were taken into custody after the two tried to run away from officers.

2 P.M.
North Las Vegas firefighters rescued a person trapped in a palm tree in the 2900 block of Crawford Street near East Cheyenne Avenue. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Heavy Rescue Team assisted.

1:30 P.M.
A crash on US-95 near Horizon Drive has caused lane closures and slow moving traffic traveling northbound.

12:12 P.M.
Two people are recovering from non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting near Industrial Road and Wyoming Avenue. Police received a 911 call regarding gunshots in the area shortly before 12:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the two people suffering gunshot wounds. There is no suspect information at this time.

9:15 A.M.
Crews are responding to reports of multiple passengers feeling sick on a Spirit Airlines plane. This is a developing story, check back for updates. READ MORE

An intentional crash involving a Las Vegas police officer has led to road closures downtown, according to authorities. Jackson Avenue is shut down in both directions between C and D streets. READ MORE
