The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

5:05 P.M.
A 53-year-old male was injured during a crash on Jones Boulevard north of Craig Road. Police say a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria was exiting a private driveway when it crossed the travel path of a 2009 Volkswagen Beetle. The driver of the Ford was transported to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries. The driver of Beetle did not show any signs of impairment.

3 P.M.
Firefighters responded to a fire call at the Bellagio hotel-casino. Upon arrival, fire crews received reports of smoke on the 35th floor. Crews were able to locate and handle a small fire in an artificial plant that they put out with an extinguisher. The fire appeared to be started by a cigarette. No evacuations or injuries were reported.

7 A.M.
Police say the situation at El Adobe Estates has been resolved. Police say it began as a domestic incident. At one point, they were treating it as a barricade situation because they believed the person inside had a firearm. Eventually they were able to persuade the person to come out and that person was taken into custody without incident.

6 A.M.
Police are on the scene of a situation at El Adobe Estates near Lamb Boulevard and Washington Avenue. There are multiple patrol cars in the neighborhood.
