The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:40 P.M.
UPDATE OCT. 5: The Clark County coroner has identified the victim as 22-year-old Alfonzo Tuttle from Las Vegas. Tuttle's cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and has been ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide scene in the 5500 block of Ness Avenue, near Hacienda Avenue and Lindell Road. No further immediate details were shared by authorities.

8 P.M.
Las Vegas police have responded to a call on Las Vegas Blvd. in front of the Paris Las Vegas. READ MORE

5:53 A.M.
Las Vegas police are on the scene of a deadly crash. Authorities say a person walked into the street and was hit by a vehicle near Rancho Drive and Rainbow Boulevard just after 4 a.m. READ MORE

5:10 A.M.
Firefighters in Las Vegas responded to a balcony fire at an apartment on Citrus Hills Avenue, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Drive, around 3:30 a.m. The agency reports two people were treated for minor smoke inhalation and were released on the scene. The cause remains under investigation. The Red Cross is assisting one adult who was displaced. The damage was confined to the balcony, firefighters say.

OVERNIGHT
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting that occurred near Bruce Street and Searles Avenue (near Washington Avenue) shortly before 2 a.m. Police say a man was shot one time in the stomach area. He was transported to the hospital where he is undergoing surgery. The investigation is in the early stages. At this time, police say there is no suspect information and no one is in custody. Anyone with information can report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
