The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:27 P.M.
LVMPD Homicide detectives are responding to an incident that occurred at an apartment complex near Twain Avenue and Boulder Highway. This is a developing story.

2:21 pm
LVMPD is on the scene of a barricade situation at an apartment complex on Lake East Drive close to the intersection of Durango and Starboard Drives.

Officers responded to a report of a person having a mental episode armed with a knife on his balcony. The individual has barricaded himself in his apartment.

Other units surrounding the apartment have been evacuated.

This scene is active and ongoing. Avoid the area.

11:15 A.M.
Las Vegas police are looking for a man accused of stabbing someone at Walmart near Tropicana Avenue and Fort Apache Road. The department says officers responded to reports of the alleged stabbing shortly after 8 a.m. but did not find anyone who had been stabbed in the area. Police believe a possibly homeless man entered the store and broke a glass case where knives were displayed. He grabbed a knife and was in the business threatening customers, however, he did not injure anyone. At this time, detectives are attempting to locate and identify the man. This is an ongoing investigation.

UPDATE 8:30 A.M.
Detectives are investigating a crash involving a pickup truck and a bicyclist near Sahara and Durango shortly before 7 a.m. Police say the bicycle rider is in critical condition at the hospital. Road closures remain in effect in the area, use alternate routes. READ MORE

7:12 A.M.
The RTC reports a crash on Durango Drive at Sahara Avenue. The intersection is blocked as a result. Use other routes. READ MORE

6 A.M.
No word specifically when Air Force 1 will depart from McCarran International Airport this morning but the airport sent out a tweet reminding people to expect delays and stoppages of service.
