The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

7:13 P.M.
A motorcycle rider is recovering at UMC with life threatening injuries after a crash involving a box truck, according to Las Vegas police. The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. near Decatur Boulevard and Post Road, near Sunset Road. Authorities say 42-year-old Shawn Grogg was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Decatur when the motorcycle traveled through the intersection, failing to stop for a red traffic signal. The driver of the box truck remained at the scene and did not show any signs of impairment, police say. This crash remains under investigation.

12:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police say they have arrested the person accused of stabbing a woman while she was sleeping this morning in an apartment on Sherwood Avenue.

6:13 A.M.
Las Vegas police say a woman stabbed her husband after they got into a fight at Albertsons near Buffalo and Vegas drives. When officers arrived, the woman was helping her husband. She was taken into custody and he was transported to hospital. The man is expected to survive.

5:43 A.M.
Las Vegas police say a woman was stabbed by another woman while she was sleeping in the bedroom of her apartment in the 2500 block of Sherwood Avenue near Maryland Parkway and Sahara Avenue. The victim is expected to survive. The suspect ran from the scene. The suspect and victim know each other.

OVERNIGHT
A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle around 9 p.m. Monday in the 5300 block of Tropical Parkway near Centennial Center Boulevard. It is not known if the driver stayed on the scene.
