This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for October 9, 2017.

6:02 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue says a pile of plastic pipes caught fire behind a warehouse near Desert Inn Road and Rancho Drive around 5:50 p.m. The warehouse was not involved in the fire. No injuries were reported.

4:42 P.M.

A motorcyclist is dead after crashing on the northbound access road near Interstate 15 and Tropicana Avenue. The crash happened around 3:47 p.m. No other vehicles aside from the motorcycle were involved. The access road is closed while troopers investigate.

6:23 A.M.

A crash has been reported on the 215 northbound near Charleston Boulevard. The right traffic lanes were blocked.

3:54 A.M.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at 2815 West Ford Avenue, building #44.

Firefighters reported smoke and flame coming from the second story balcony of a two-story apartment complex. Firefighters found a BBQ on the outside patio that had caught fire.

No injuries were reported.
