The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
LVMPD officers responded to the intersection of Desert Inn and Fort Apache Roads due to reports of gunfire in the parking lot area shared by Terribles and Walgreens. The high-level response included 4 Engines, 1 Truck Company, 1 Rescue and 2 Battalion Chiefs. Upon arrival, crews say a small fire was located near the rear of the building that was caused by a Lithium battery for a small appliance that was being charged. The fire was contained by the building sprinkler system and the structure itself was not involved in the fire. There was no report of any animals injured in the fire.
