The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE: 9:50 P.M.: Las Vegas police and SWAT say an adult male was taken into custody at about 9:30 p.m. after an hours-long barricade on Winterhaven Street that began around 4 p.m. Officers say there will still be a large police presence in the area for at least the next hour while the contingency of police/SWAT units secure their gear and depart the scene.

6 P.M.
Las Vegas police and SWAT are on the scene of a domestic disturbance on the 3300 block of Winterhaven Street near Cheyenne Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard. Police responded to a call in reference to a male suspect believed to be armed shortly after 4 p.m.

11:09 A.M.
Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 3645 Las Vegas Boulevard South. Upon arrival, they discovered light smoke coming from an office in a kitchen behind the Le Burger restaurant. The fire was put out before firefighters arrived.
