LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:18 P.M.
Police are on the scene of a barricade on Willow Wind Court near Hualapai Way and Sahara Avenue. Officers say they were trying to arrest a suspect for his felony warrants when he barricaded himself inside a home. Police are trying to negotiate with the suspect who is believed to be armed. Avoid the area.

5:27 P.M.
A man is dead after a shooting around 2:30 p.m. in North Las Vegas, according to police. Officers say he was driving with another man near Alexander Road and Revere Street when their car was shot at. The 28-year-old passenger was hit by gunfire, the driver was not. The driver drove to a Walmart parking lot near Craig Road and Clayton Street and called 911. CPR was performed on the scene. The man, later identified as Corey Jones, was taken to UMC Trauma where he died. There is no suspect in custody, police say.

4:55 P.M.
Clark County School District police said they have arrested a 13-year-old Garside Junior High School student after she admitted to making terroristic threats at the school. Two people heard the incident and reported it to officials before 10 a.m. The girl was heard saying "she was going to shoot up the school."
