This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for November 18, 2017.

6:44 P.M. 

A driver was shot, then was involved in a car crash with another vehicle after he tried to drive away. The crash happened around 6:22 p.m. near Alexander Road and Buffalo Drive. It's not clear at this time where or when the shooting happened. The shooting victim's injuries are not life-threatening. Police are still investigating the case.

11:30 A.M.

A hiker is dead after falling in the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. READ MORE.

10:37 A.M.

Two adults and two babies were displaced after their apartment caught fire near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards. Damage was estimated at $60,000. Investigators say it started on the stove and was accidental. One teen and one adult in the apartment above were also displaced due to smoke damage.
