The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:43 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a death on West Mesa Vista Avenue near Hacienda Avenue and Buffalo Drive. They received calls about a stabbing and shooting and found one person with injuries, who later died at a local hospital. Homicide detectives are investigating. READ MORE.

10:20 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating after receiving reports of someone shot in the area of East Flamingo Road and U.S. 95 around 9 p.m. Officers arrived and found someone dead from unknown injuries. Homicide is en route and will provide updates on the situation.

UPDATE: The man who was shot has been identified as 58-year-old Thomas Vorbehren. No city of residence listed. His death was ruled by homicide.

9:18 P.M.
Henderson police are investigating after a wrong-way driver caused a crash at Marks Street and Sandhurst Road. A 75-year-old woman was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition and a man in his 40s received minor injuries and was not transported. Alcohol appears to be a factor in this crash. Marks Street is closed at Sandhurst Road in both directions for the next couple of hours while police investigate.

7:30 A.M.
A fatal crash has closed the intersection of Losee Road and East Cheyenne Avenue in North Las Vegas. Police say a red car ran a red light and ended up underneath a semi truck trailer. The driver of the car is deceased. No other information is available at this time.
