The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:15 P.M.
NV Energy is reporting around 8000 customers are without power in the area of Rainbow Boulevard and U.S. 95. The outage cause is listed as damage to NV Energy equipment and estimated time of restoration is listed as being from midnight to 1 a.m. according to NV Energy's website.

9:24 P.M.
Las Vegas firefighters responded to a house fire on Gulf Port Circle near Alta and Durango drives shortly before 9:30 p.m. Several neighbors reported smoke coming from house. Heavy fire was found on the 2nd floor. It took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. The house was in the process of being renovated at the time of the fire and was not occupied. A damage estimate is not immediately available.

6 A.M.
A Clark County School District school bus was rear-ended near St. Rose Parkway and Seven Hills Drive. Only the driver was on the bus. The driver of the car received minor injuries as was transported to St. Rose Siena Hospital. The scene has been cleared.

4:30 A.M.
Las Vegas police are on the scene of a shooting involving the department at McCarran International Airport on Wayne Newton Boulevard. Police say that the suspect is down and no officers have been injured. The suspect was taken to University Medical Center. READ MORE.
