The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:15 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting involving police near Sunrise Hospital. At this time no officers are reported to be injured. The suspect is in custody and was taken to Sunrise Hospital.

7:25 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating what appears to be an apparent murder-suicide in the 2100 block of La Sombra Street near North Jones Boulevard and West Lake Mead Boulevard. The call originally came in as someone shot. Homicide detectives are on scene investigating.

9:40 A.M.
Las Vegas police said an 85-year-old driver has passed away from a crash that happened back on Sept. 4 near the intersection of Pecos Road and Reno Avenue. The collision occurred when an F -350 struck the side of a pickup truck that forced it to hit a van which was stopped at the traffic light. The driver of the pickup truck died and was later identified as Pedro Nasser with his death ruled an accident by the Clark County coroner.

7:17 A.M.
A juvenile bicyclist crashed into a vehicle near Tropicana Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard. Transported to hospital with minor, non-critical injuries. Police say the juvenile was riding against traffic. Ran into vehicle coming out of private drive. Driver cooperating, does not appear impaired. Both parties partially at fault.

UPDATE: 1:04 A.M.
Las Vegas police say the driver of a fuel tanker traveling southbound on Durango near Warm Springs when it attempted to make a u-turn from the middle lane. It was then hit by a car, police say. The car caught fire but the tanker was not breached. Police say no one was transported and there were only minor injuries. Police say the driver of fuel truck will be cited. The driver of the car is suspected DUI, according to police.

12:30 A.M.
Crews are responding to a fiery vehicle crash near Warm Springs and Durango in the southwest part of the valley. No word yet is anyone was hurt. Check back as more information becomes available.
