The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

11:40 P.M.
Some roads are closed after a multi-vehicle crash involving an RTC bus, according to Las Vegas police. The crash happened near Las Vegas and Elvis Presley boulevards shortly before 11 p.m. One driver was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries. A 1/2 block section of Las Vegas Boulevard northbound is closed between the Peppermill and Elvis Presley Boulevard, police say. Northbound traffic is being diverted onto Convention Center Drive. Officers say they are evaluating one of the involved drivers for impairment.

UPDATE 9:19 P.M.
Police say roads should reopen by 10 p.m. following a crash near the LINQ. Eastbound lanes should open first, then westbound lanes. Officers expect Flamingo Road to be fully open between 9:30 (earliest) and 10 p.m. at the latest. Fatal Detail is not responding to the incident, police say.

8:50 P.M.
Flamingo Road is closed in both directions between Koval Lane and Las Vegas Boulevard after a man was hit by a car crossing Flamingo shortly before 8 p.m., according to Las Vegas police. The man was transported to the hospital where he is in critical condition. Road closures will remain in effect while authorities investigate. Avoid the area.
