The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE: 12:28 P.M.: Roads are open again at Lake Mead and Jones boulevards after a police search in the area this morning. Police say a fight escalated to a shooting shortly before 9:50 a.m. One person was transported to the hospital. That person is walking and talking, according to police. The investigation remains ongoing, however the scene is clear and there is no longer an impact to traffic.

UPDATE 11:42 A.M.: Police say one person was transported to UMC Trauma after the shooting near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards. Officers continue to search for the subject. One woman was detained due to being uncooperative. No word on her relation to the incident. The person shot is walking and talking, according to police.

11:28 A.M.
Police are responding to a crash involving 5 vehicles near Rainbow Boulevard and Alta Drive. The crash may cause traffic delays.

10:20 A.M.
Roads are closed near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards as police search for a subject in the area. Police say a fight in the area escalated to a shooting shortly before 9:50 a.m. It is unknown at this time if anyone was injured in the incident. This is an ongoing situation. Check back for updates.

Happening Now: Shooting investigation near Lake Mead and Jones

9:47 A.M.
One person was apprehended by Las Vegas police shortly before 9:50 a.m. after a domestic dispute in the Summerlin area. Police say the subject tried to run away from officers near Sahara Avenue and Hualapai Way. The subject was caught with the help of a police dog. The incident is now over.

5:30 A.M.
One person was transported to the hospital after a shooting around 4 a.m. on the 3600 block of Crestview near Tropicana Avenue and Sandhill Road. Police say that person is stable and recovering from non life threatening injuries.
