The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:20 P.M.
Clark County fire crews said Las Vegas police were notified about a possible aircraft crash near Sunrise Mountain. Emergency crews were called to the scene to attempt to locate the aircraft. However, no evidence was found in the area of such a crash, and the search was canceled.

5:42 A.M.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at the Villas at Flamingo, located at 5525 W. Flamingo Rd. Crews found that a residential sprinkler head contained the fire to a bedroom, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be a candle that was left unattended.

OVERNIGHT

UPDATE (5/22/20): The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of Wednesday's fatal shooting as 35-year-old Herman Davar King from Las Vegas. The cause of death was multiple gunshot wounds and ruled a homicide.

Las Vegas police say a man was shot and killed around 1 a.m. on the 1800 block of J Street, near Martin Luther King and Lake Mead boulevards. No arrests have been made. The Clark County coroner will identify the deceased. READ MORE.
