LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
7:30 P.M.
UPDATE: Police say the domestic call in the 5200 block of Walnut Avenue has ended peacefully and the suspect is in custody. There were no injuries. Detectives will continue the investigation.
3:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police are currently working a domestic call in the 5200 block of Walnut Avenue, which is near North Nellis Boulevard and East Bonanza Road. There is a large police presence in the area as the police begin to contain the situation and work to resolve it. Please avoid the area.
2:12 A.M.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report a fatal crash at the intersection of West Craig Road and North Rainbow Boulevard between a Ford Focus and a Ford Fusion. According to the report, the Focus was traveling westbound on Craig Rd. at a high rate of speed and drove through the red light at the intersection, striking the the Fusion on its left side. The two occupants of the Fusion were transported to UMC Trauma with life threatening injuries. The driver of the Fusion was eventually pronounced deceased. The driver of the Focus was also transported to UMC with minor injuries and has been booked for suspicion of DUI. This is the 44th traffic fatality within LVMPD's jurisdiction this year.
No excuse! No explanation! No reason! A man, suspected of driving impaired, ran a red light at Craig/Rainbow. He slammed into another vehicle, killing the driver and critically injuring the passenger.

OVERNIGHT
4 adults and 2 children were displaced by a fire shortly before midnight May 19. It happened at 3126 Greenbriar Drive near Desert Inn Road Sanhill. Firefighters found heavy fire when they arrived. The fire was knocked down in 10 minutes. American Red Cross is helping the adults and children.
