Las Vegas breaking news for May 10, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for May 10, 2018.

12:23 P.M.

Emergency crews are at the scene of a car fire on northbound U.S. Highway 95 near Auto Show Drive. No injuries have been reported. 

9:50 A.M.

Nevada Highway Patrol reports the truck hauling concrete blocks lost load on the freeway, temporarily closing northbound Interstate 15. Traffic is being diverted at Charleston Boulevard and U.S. 95. 

9:05 A.M.

All the northbound lanes are blocked on Interstate 15 between Charleston Boulevard and just north of U.S. 95 due to a crash. Nevada Highway Patrol says a semi-truck hauling drywall was involved in a crash. Debris is on the roadway.

6:15 A.M.

Firefighters on scene of apartment fire on Algiers Drive near Cheyenne and Nellis Boulevard. Residents are being evacuated. The fire started in an apartment on the 2nd floor. The fire was reported knocked down at 6:22 a.m. No injuries have been reported. It is not known what started the fire at this time. At least 3 adults and 6 children have been displaced.
