The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6 P.M.
Detectives located a wanted suspect in the area of Pecos Road and Hacienda Avenue. The person refused to exit the residence and SWAT officers responded to assist. After several hours of attempting to establish communication, SWAT entered the residence and took the suspect into custody at about 6 p.m.

1:01 P.M.
Las Vegas police are responding to a shooting on Renfrew Drive, near Durango and Westcliff drives in Summerlin. Police say officers found one person shot when they arrived at the scene. That person was brought to UMC Trauma in unknown condition. No arrests have been made. Police did not immediately share a suspect description.

The incident remains under investigation. Police say traffic may be impacted in the area and to expect delays.

OVERNIGHT
Police say a man is in custody after barricading himself in a room at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall near Nellis Boulevard and Boulder Highway overnight.
