This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for March 3, 2018.

5:24 P.M.

One person is in custody after a domestic violence-related shooting around 2:52 p.m. Police say it happened in the 10000 block of Nolinas Street, near Rainbow Boulevard and Cactus Avenue. The victim was shot once in the back and once in the legs, but neither wound is life-threatening. 

12:12 P.M.

Hikers at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area discovered a deceased male with a gun in his hand on the Oak Creek Canyon Trail around 11:30 a.m. Police are en route to investigate.

10:43 A.M.

A Walmart near Rainbow Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue was evacuated after receiving a bomb threat around 9:55 a.m. Las Vegas police say no bomb was found and no injuries were reported. The public will be allowed back inside once police finish their investigation.

8:30 A.M.

Las Vegas Fire and Rescue called a 2-alarm fire at an apartment complex near Rainbow Boulevard and Washington Avenue around 8:15 a.m. LVFR says flames were showing from two apartment units when they arrived. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
