LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:01 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to a backyard fire on the 6300 block of O'Bannon Drive, near West Oakey Boulevard and South Torrey Pines Drive. Firefighters were able to put out the blaze quickly and treated two men who had suffered serious burns. Both men were transported to UMC's Burn Unit. Family members at the home say they had no idea how the fire started just that the men got out of a swimming pool, walked to the other end of the patio and the fire started. The cause is under investigation.

7:01 P.M.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police watch commander reports a fatal crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle on the 7000 block of Certitude Avenue, near North Buffalo Drive and Grand Teton Drive. The rider of the motorcycle was declared deceased at the scene. LVMPD's Fatal Detail is investigating.

4:45 P.M.
LVMPD Traffic Capt. Nick Farese was relieved from his position as of May 31, according to Las Vegas police. Officials said this was a personnel matter and no additional details were provided. READ MORE

3:30 P.M.
Police say a 2-year-old fell into a pool in the 200 block of East Eldorado Lane. Officers were called to the scene to investigate the near drowning call, according to authorities. The child was struggling to breathe, but no official condition was given from police while being transported to the hospital.
