The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:50 A.M.
Las Vegas police are reporting that the motorcyclist in this morning's crash has died. Police say that a 2016 Yamaha R6 was traveling west on West Cactus Avenue east of Verona Wood Street when the bike accelerated and ran into an Acura. The impact caused the motorcyclist to be ejected. The 20-year-old man was transported to UMC Trauma and pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver of the Acura remained on scene.

8:30 A.M.
The fire at the apartment building near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway is out. The fire department says the building was vacant and possibly started by squatters.

8:12 A.M.
Police are investigating an incident near Cheyenne Avenue and Jones Boulevard. Police say that a crash led to shots being fired. It's not clear who fired the shots. Medical was called to the scene but no one was transported.

7:03 A.M.
Clark County Fire Department is on scene of an apartment building fire at 1304 E. Desert Inn Road near Maryland Parkway. Road closures may be in effect in the area.

5:30 A.M.
A motorcycle crash has closed Cactus Avenue between Rainbow and Jones boulevards. The crash happened around 12:45 a.m.

OVERNIGHT
A 19-year-old female is dead in Henderson after being shot. It was reported at 11:10 p.m. on Monument Point Street near Horizon Ridge Parkway and Paradise Hills. She died at the hospital. No arrests have been made.
