The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

4:20 A.M.
UPDATE (Aug. 12): The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of the fatal collision as 26-year-old Teresa L. Amos. Her cause of death was blunt force injuries and it was ruled an accident.

Las Vegas police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash on the 1700 block of East Charleston Boulevard near Bruce Street in the downtown area. One person was killed and a driver was arrested for suspected impairment. The crash happened on private property and there are no road closures in the area.

2:57 A.M.
This morning the Clark County Fire Department along with the City of Las Vegas were dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire. A high-level response was dispatched which sent 4 Engines, 1 Truck, 1 Rescue and 2 Battalion Chiefs and 1 air unit. On arrival, the responders found a fully involved house and initiated a defensive attack to prevent the spread of fire to nearby structures. As the fire was knocked down, personnel began an interior attack and the fire was knocked down at 0320. The home appeared to be unoccupied at the time of the incident and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
