LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:30 P.M.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Missing Persons Detail is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 84-year-old Clark Chapman. Clark was last seen in the area of Durango and Rochelle. Clark was last seen wearing a white, blue and gray stripped shirt, brown pants, black shoes and a silver walking stick. Clark has been diagnosed with dementia and may not be able to identify himself or properly care for himself. Anyone with information regarding Clark Chapman’s whereabouts is strongly encouraged to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-3111 or the Missing Persons Detail during business hours at (702) 828-2907.

8 P.M.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Missing Persons Detail is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 53-year-old Erick Williams. Erick was last seen in the area of Martin Luther King and Pinto. Erick was last seen wearing a black shirt with a blue fist design on the front, black pants and orange shoes. Erick is possibly suffering from severe emotional distress and may be in need of medical attention. Anyone with information regarding Erick Williams’s whereabouts is strongly encouraged to contact the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department at (702) 828-3111 or the Missing Persons Detail during business hours at (702) 828-2907.

4:12 A.M.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred near the intersection of South Pecos Road and East Tropicana Avenue. Officials report that a person sleeping in a parked car was killed when a sports car, traveling at a high rate of speed, skidded off the road into the vehicle. Two people in the sports car were transported to UMC Trauma in serious condition.

3:30 A.M.
The Clark County Fire Department responded to two-story apartment fire located on the 1500 block of Elizabeth Avenue, near Maryland Parkway and East Tropicana Avenue, after receiving a 911 call that reported the "whole apartment roof was on fire." Fire crews successfully extinguished the fire by 3:58 a.m. Fourteen people have been displaced and Red Cross is providing them witih assistance.
