A transformer caught fire behind 301 Paul Avenue and sent a strange ring of smoke into the air. The transformer and power pole were the only things damaged. There were no injuries.

Lifeguard pulls unresponsive 6-year-old boy from wave pool at Cowabunga Bay. Boy transported to Henderson hospital. READ MORE.

A man shot a woman inside an apartment near Twain Avenue and Wynn Road around 2:27 p.m. Police believe he killed himself as they were heading up the stairs to the apartment. A 9-year-old boy inside the residence was uninjured. READ MORE.
3:34 P.M.
The Clark County Coroner identified the man who drowned at Lake Mead on June 17 as 32-year-old Alejandro Rodriguez from Fontana, California. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor to his death. READ MORE.
The Coroner also identified the 22-year-old motorcyclist who died after crashing into a semi-truck on June 16 as Carlos Antonio Cardoza-Diaz from Laughlin. READ MORE.
