Las Vegas breaking news for July 31, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for July 31, 2018.

8:20 A.M.

A person has been detained after another person was stabbed near Silver Birch Lane and Howard Drive, near St. Louis Avenue and Fremont Street. The person stabbed was transported to the hospital.

5:20 A.M.

Las Vegas police received a call about an unconscious toddler at Motel 6, located near Boulder Highway and Lamb Boulevard. The child was transported to Sunrise Hospital and is undergoing treatment. Abuse and Neglect detectives are investigating, as is Child Protective Services. 

OVERNIGHT

Police say a passenger in an Uber car fired a shot out of a window near Rancho Drive and U.S. 95 around 3:15 a.m. The Uber driver and the 3 passengers ran. One of the males was located nearby. No one was injured.

Trees fell onto cars near Desert Inn and Cabana during a storm. READ MORE
