The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:00 P.M.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of a car fire in the garage of a one-story home on Faircrest Drive, near Rampart Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue, authorities say. Crews responded to the fire shortly after 7:10 p.m. The fire is out and there are no injuries to report.

5:26 P.M.
Las Vegas police are responding to a shooting inside the Desert Shores Condos at 3151 N. Soaring Gulls Dr. near Cheyenne Avenue and Rampart Boulevard. Police say the shooting happened around 3 p.m. One person was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Homicide is responding to conduct the investigation.

1:51 P.M.
The barricade near Jones Boulevard and Vegas Drive is over. The suspect was taken into custody.

12:45 P.M.
Las Vegas police are working a barricade in the 1400 block of North Jones Boulevard south of Vegas Drive. The incident began around 8:30 a.m. when an officer called in an investigative follow up for a wanted suspect. SWAT has been notified and Jones is closed near Vegas Drive. Traffic is being diverted.

OVERNIGHT
Two fireworks stands were robbed overnight, according to police. The first robbery was reported at near Rainbow and Charleston boulevards. The second was reported at 11:19 p.m. near Charleston Boulevard and Durango Drive. Police say two men with a gun approached employees at the fireworks stands and demanded money. After obtaining cash, they got into a blue or grey SUV and left.
