Las Vegas breaking news for July 23, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for July 23, 2018.

2:45 P.M.

Police say they have detained the alleged shooter in the Cold Creek area. At this time, it's unknow if he will be charged with a crime. 

12:30 P.M.

2 men claim they were shot at by another man in Cold Creek. The men say that the shooter is in a tent about four miles north of the fire station at Cold Creek. The shooter told the men that he is ex-military and accused them of trespassing. Police are attempting to locate the man. Cold Creek is about an hour from Las Vegas. 

6:45 A.M.

An incident involving a motorcyclist near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue has resulted in lane closures. The motorcyclist has been transported to a local hospital. It does not appear at this time that he was seriously injured. 

6:15 A.M.

A cement truck is pumping out a large amount of smoke from the IKEA parking lot near Sunset and Durango Drive.
