The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:08 P.M.
An off-duty police officer accidentally shot himself in the 3900 block of Las Vegas Boulevard. Police say he shot himself in the lower body area and was transported to UMC Trauma. There will be an internal investigation.

6:28 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to a house fire near North Jones Boulevard and West Smoke Ranch Road. The occupants were able to make it out and are okay. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

2:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police say a grey Honda Accord drove into a Teriyaki Madness located at 9151 West Sahara Avenue. There were no injuries, but it caused major structural damage. The elderly driver passed field sobriety tests.

1:57 P.M.
Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at Solaire Apartments located at 1750 Karen Avenue. When firefighters arrived they reported seeing smoke coming from the second floor of building 22. The fire was contained to the balcony and was put out at 2:04 p.m. The fire is currently under investigation by the Clark County Fire Investigation Division. There were no reported injuries.
