The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

5:24 P.M.
Clark County Fire Department is on scene of an apartment fire at 5055 E. Charleston Blvd. near Nellis Boulevard. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue assisted in the response to the 2-alarm fire.

NOON
The VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System says it closed outpatient clinics in 2 sections of their facility after receiving reports of a suspicious substance. North Las Vegas Police Department, Las Vegas police and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded. The substance was determined to be non-harmful. No other parts of the facility was impacted.

10:25 A.M.
The third floor North Las Vegas VA Medical Center on North Pecos Road has been evacuated after 2 suspicious packages were found. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue confirms they have been called in to assist.
