The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

2:35 P.M.
Nevada Highway Patrol has responded to a fatal head-on crash on the US-95 and Nye County Mile Marker 50. Travel lanes are currently open, but use caution if traveling through the area.

1:35 P.M.
The Clark County Fire Department and Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is responding to a 3-alarm fire in the 5100 block of East Tropicana Avenue near Nellis Boulevard. The fire department will provide an update to the press at 3 p.m.

1:06 P.M.
A boat fire was reported around 12:16 at Hemenway Harbor on Lake Mead. Nevada Dept. of Wildlife firefighters were called to scene. The fire was quickly extinguished.

11 A.M.
Both directions of US-95 near Searchlight is now open after a fatal crash involving illegal fireworks earlier today.

5:55 A.M.
Motorcyclist injured in crash with another vehicle near Charleston Boulevard and Oahu Street. Motorcyclist transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

5:30 A.M.
Fatal crash on US-95 at Mile Marker 34. Traffic stopped in both directions. Traffic being diverted at SR164/Nipton Road to I-15. Nevada Highway Patrol says van was carrying illegal fireworks. Expect major delays while fireworks removed.

2:01 A.M.
A male bicyclist was critically injured after colliding with a RTC bus near Fremont Street and Oakey Boulevard. Fremont was temporarily closed but is open now. It is not known at the time why the collision occurred.
