This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for January 6, 2018.

UPDATED: police say that man walked up to his estranged wife who was working as a cashier inside the Herbst Market at West Desert Inn and South Fort Apache Road and shot her multiple times before turning the gun on himself. The victim died on scene while the shooter was transported to UMC Trauma in critical condition.

ORIGINAL STORY: 7:15 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide at the Herbst Market at West Desert Inn and South Fort Apache Road. The shooting happened at 6:24 p.m. Two people were shot; one died on scene, the other was transported to a hospital in unknown condition. Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting and we will have more details as they are released. 

6:53 P.M.

The right four lanes are blocked on northbound Interstate 15 just before Russell Road. The Nevada Department of Transportation says there has been a multi-vehicle crash involving a semi. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.

11:55 A.M.

A brush fire is burning in the area of Galleria Drive and Marks Street in Henderson. At this time, there is no information on what started the fire.  

OVERNIGHT

Five cars were burned in a North Las Vegas warehouse fire on Friday. The fire started just before 9 p.m. near Carey Avenue and Losee Road. No one was injured, and officials are investigating the cause.
