The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
3:30 P.M.
Firefighters responded to a report of a fire at Casa Vegas Apartments located at 1405 Vegas Valley Drive. Crews found smoke coming from a window on the first floor and knocked the fire down within 20 minutes. The fire was under investigation, and no injuries were reported.
2:00 P.M.
Police are investigating a shooting in the 5000 block of Duneville Street, near Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard. A woman was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury. The situation remains under investigation by the gang crimes detective.
12:25 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue are battling a fire near Elkhorn Road and Jones Boulevard. Initial reports suggest the fire is inside a barn with heavy flames showing. LVFR responded to the fire around 12 p.m.

9:08 A.M.
A male was shot in the stomach near Karen Avenue and Van Patten. Several callers reported multiple gunshots. Police found a male in a car in the area. He was transported to Sunrise Trauma. The gang unit is investigating.
7:45 A.M.
North Las Vegas Fire Department responding to a fire involving a recreational vehicle near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Brooks.
