The LVMPD does not call and request payments of any sort, according to police. If a call is received in regards to an investigation and is unsure of the authenticity of the caller, please get their name and number and call 702 828-3111 and ask to be connected to that officer or employee.
Caller ID spoofing allows you to display a phone number different than the actual number from which the call was placed. Caller ID spoofing technology works for both phone calls and text messages on your smartphone.
