LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

3:45 P.M.

Henderson police responded to a shots fired call at the Green Valley Ranch hotel-casino. An armed man was injured in a shooting after a confrontation with security guards. UPDATE: Officers said the man died at the scene. READ MORE

4:30 A.M.

Two Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officers were hit by a suspected impaired driver. The crash happened near Paradise Road and Twain Avenue around 4:28 a.m. One of the officers was transported to a nearby hospital in serious condition. The suspected impaired driver is in custody. Paradise Road is closed down from Sands Avenue to Flamingo Road. LVMPD is asking drivers to avoid the area while they investigate.

3:45 A.M.

Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire on Missouri Avenue near Boulder Highway and Tropicana Avenue. One person was injured as they exited the building, sustaining cuts from broken glass; no other injuries were reported. At their request, no persons were transported. One canine was found deceased within the residence. One adult and 5 juveniles were displaced.
