The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:57 A.M.
The coroner is investigating a body found near Lone Mountain, according to Las Vegas police. 13 Actions News received an anonymous tip that a body was found on the mountain earlier this morning. Police say the body was found on Washburn Road near Alpine Ridge Way, but officers have not been sent to the area. The coroner will investigate and determine if the death needs to be investigated as a homicide.

UPDATE 8:25 A.M.
Las Vegas Boulevard is back open in both directions near Warm Springs Road after a several-hour shutdown while police investigated a deadly crash that was first reported shortly before 2 a.m.

UPDATE 7:34 A.M.
A 42-year-old woman is dead and a 70-year-old man is in serious condition at the hospital following a three-vehicle crash on Las Vegas Boulevard south of Warm Springs Road, according to police. Las Vegas Boulevard remains closed in both directions in the area.

Officers say the woman was driving a BMW southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard when the car hit a guard rail. The BMW then over corrected and crossed into the northbound travel lanes of Las Vegas Boulevard, crashing into a Toyota head-on. The Toyota spun into the center travel lane and hit a Hyundai, police say.

The driver of the BMW was pronounced dead on the scene. The driver of the Toyota was transported to UMC Trauma. The driver of the Hyundai had minor injuries as a result of the crash, according to officers.

The woman's death marks the seventh traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for the year 2020. She will be identified by the coroner following notification of next of kin.

This crash remains under investigation.

UPDATE 6:30 A.M.
Police expected to open Las Vegas Boulevard around 6 a.m. but it remains closed near Warm Springs in both directions following a deadly crash in the area.

Traffic Update: Parts of Las Vegas Boulevard remain closed after deadly crash

4:56 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to a call at a gas station on Charleston Boulevard near Fourth Street. Authorities say there was light haze in the building and crews are looking for a source but no flames have been found. No injuries to report.

1:52 A.M.
Las Vegas police say at least one driver is dead after a serious crash on Las Vegas Boulevard near Warm Springs Road. Three cars were involved, each with one person inside. One driver died at the scene and and another was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. Las Vegas Boulevard remains closed in both directions between Warm Springs and Moberly and is expected to remain closed until around 6 a.m.
