The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
10:20 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a critical crash involving a pedestrian at the corner of Tropicana Avenue and Valley View Boulevard. Road closures were in place at the scene of the collision.
UPDATE 1:29 P.M.
An elderly woman is dead after a crash near Boulder Highway and Desert Inn Road just before 11:30 a.m., according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
The 80-year-old woman was pulling out of the Stations Casinos parking lot and attempting to cross all travel lanes of northbound Boulder Highway when another car hit her vehicle. Authorities say she was driving unrestrained.
She was brought to the hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Nevada Highway Patrol says impairment does not appear to be a factor and there is minimal impact to traffic.
11:50 A.M.
Boulder Highway northbound near Desert Inn Road is closed. Authorities say to use other routes and caution around this area.
