Las Vegas breaking news for February 5, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for February 5, 2018.

10:30 P.M.

Las Vegas police say a collision between a bicycle and a vehicle occurred in the intersection of West Hacienda and South Decatur at 7:40 p.m. The bicyclist was transported to the hospital and is expected to survive. The intersection was shut down for a couple of hours while the investigation took place.

9:55 P.M.

North Las Vegas police say a robbery occurred at the Dollar General Store located in the 2600 block of North Las Vegas Boulevard. The store clerk was punched and multiple suspects took off on foot. A perimeter was set up and the suspects were arrested before 8 p.m. with assistance from K9 units. Three handguns were also recovered. 

2:13 A.M

Officers responded to reports of a male & female arguing at an apartment complex on 370 East Harmon Avenue, near Paradise Road. When officers arrived, a male ran into an apartment in building B and refused officers request to come outside.   Officers spent time trying to persuade the male to exit the apartment.  Eventually, officers were able to convince the male to come to the door, upon which time he was taken into custody.   The female had no visible injuries.
