LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6:22 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a crash near Spring Mountain Road and South Buffalo Drive after a car hit a teenager that was walking outside of a crosswalk. The teen was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police are asking people to avoid Spring Mountain from South Buffalo Drive to South Cimmaron Road for the next couple of hours.

1:05 P.M.

Update: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police watch commander reports that the barricade situation on the 2800 block of Emerson Avenue has ended peacefully. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.

12:18 P.M.

Nevada Highway Patrol reports a fatal collision occurred on the southbound IR-215 off ramp at West Charleston Boulevard. Officials report that a Chevy Equinox was coming off the southbound ramp when it was struck by a Silver Honda that was heading westbound and ran the red light. The 66-year-old female driver of the Honda was transported to Summerlin Hospital where she was pronounced deceased. NHP officials believe that woman may have suffered a medical episode that contributed to the crash.

8:53 A.M.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police watch commander reports a barricade situation on the 2800 block of Emerson Avenue, near South Eastern Avenue and South Desert Inn Road. Police were called to the location for a family disturbance and, upon arrival, learned that there was an armed subject in the residence who refused to exit. SWAT was called and is now on scene.
