Las Vegas breaking news for February 21, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for February 21, 2018.

10 A.M.

Kingman Police Department is at the scene of a serious crash on Hualapai Mountain Road at the railroad overpass. A truck drove off the roadway and went over the cliff onto the railroad tracks.

5:02 A.M.

A person in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle on Durango Drive and Deer Springs Way, near Centennial Hills Hospital.  According to responders, the person in the wheelchair has been transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

12:42 A.M.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 6351 Lorne Green Ave., located near Boulder Highway and Russell Road. Upon arrival, personnel reported smoke coming from the rear of a two-story apartment complex. All occupants were able to exit safely. Firefighters made an offensive attack and knocked the fire down at a reported time of 1:04 a.m. The fire is under investigation. No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was requested to the scene to assist with two adults, two dogs, and one turtle that were displaced as a result of the incident. Damages have not been estimated.
