Las Vegas breaking news for December 23, 2018

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6:18 P.M.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at an apartment complex at 3120 South Wynn Road. When firefighters arrived they found a two-story apartment building with a large amount of smoke and flame coming from the first floor. Firefighters were about to put out the fire at 6:28 p.m. Southwest Gas and NV Energy were requested to the scene to assist with utilities. American Red Cross was requested to the scene to assist with three adults that were displaced as a result of the incident. Damage has not been estimated and no injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.

1 A.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a critical crash near downtown at the intersection of Main Street and Bonanza Road. The crash involved two vehicles with one driver suffering a medical episode before the collision. This driver, a 52-year-old woman from Las Vegas, is in critical condition, and four occupants of the other vehicle were also transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The incident remains under investigation.
