Las Vegas breaking news for December 14, 2018

The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:30 P.M.

Las Vegas police attempted to stop a stolen vehicle. A short pursuit ensued that involved the stolen vehicle hitting a patrol car. Two suspects were eventually taken into custody near Viking Road and Red Rock Street.

2:54 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating shots fired in the 300 block of Steelhead Lane, near Stewart Avenue and Nellis Boulevard. A bullet struck at least one building but no injuries have been reported at this time. Police are currently looking for suspects.

1:30 P.M.

Lockdown lifted at Crestwood Elementary School. Man was not in home. Location unknown.

11:45 A.M.

Crestwood Elementary School is on soft lockdown because of nearby domestic incident. Police say a man and woman got into a fight and the man pointed a gun at her. When police arrive, the woman came out of a home in the 1800 block of Franklin Avenue. Police are currently trying to determine if man is still in home.

7:25 A.M.

Two juveniles were hit by a vehicle near Lake Mead Boulevard and Michael Way. Both juveniles received non-life-threatening injuries.

6 A.M.

A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle this morning near Craig and Pecos roads. The male pedestrian was transported to a hospital in serious condition. The intersection was briefly closed.
