The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

3:10 P.M.

West Craig Road was closed between Durango Drive and Cimarron Road due to a deadly crash involving a motorcycle and a Caterpillar Backhoe. Witnesses told police the motorcyclist was speeding before colliding into the back of the tractor. UPDATE Dec. 28: The Clark County coroner said blunt force injuries in this accident killed Pedro Rodriguez Gonzalez, 33, of Las Vegas.

2:45 P.M.

The hard lockdown at Woolley Elementary School has been lifted. No arrests were made.

1:44 P.M.

Woolley Elementary School near Alexander and Pecos roads is on a hard lockdown. School police say that the school was placed on a hard lockdown because of a report that there was an adult on campus causing a disturbance.

9:20 A.M.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a garage fire in a first floor apartment at 6661 Silverstream Avenue, the location of St. Croix Apartments near Rainbow Boulevard and Washington Avenue. No injuries have been reported.

5:30 A.M.

More than 4,000 customers in zip code 89002 are currently without power. Restoration time ETA is 7:15 a.m. Damage to equipment listed as cause. Click here for outage map.

OVERNIGHT

A man was stabbed during a confrontation between a bicyclist and driver near Pecos Road and McLeod on Dec. 12. Police say that the driver yelled at the bicyclist for going too fast. The man on the bike pulled out a knife and the driver pulled out a gun. During a struggle, the man who pulled out of the knife was stabbed with his own knife. Shots were also fired but no one was hit.
