The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

7:15 A.M.
North Las Vegas police are looking for 45-year-old Jennifer Simms. She was last seen Dec. 29 near Flamingo and Pecos roads. Simms is bipolar and suffers from schizophrenia. She is 5-feet 7-inches tall and 200 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Simms is asked to contact the North Las Vegas Police Department immediately at 702-633-9111.

6:45 A.M.
Police say the incident near Craig Road and Rainbow Boulevard was a domestic incident. Police say a man kicked in a bedroom door on Faith Peak Drive and pointed a rifle at his wife and started screaming. He then threw the woman on floor and started pistol whipping her. She was able to escape and run to a neighbor's house and call police. Nearby houses were evaucated. Eventually the man came out and surrendered peacefully.

6 A.M.
Police are on the scene on an incident near Craig Road and Rainbow Boulevard.
