The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
5 P.M.
North Las Vegas Police are investigating the deaths of a 1-month-old boy. Police say the infant's father brought him to Sunrise Hospital after finding him unresponsive. There were no obvious signs of trauma and the death isn't considered suspicious at this point. The official cause of death is pending the results of a toxicology exam.
3:28 P.M.
Henderson police have updated the information about the crash on St. Rose and Maryland Parkways, one person was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition, and 3 were transported to Sienna Hospital in unknown condition.
2:15 P.M.
The Henderson Police Department is actively investigating a 6 vehicle traffic collision with injuries at St. Rose Pkwy & Maryland Pkwy. All northbound & southbound traffic on Maryland Pkwy at St. Rose will be shut down for several hours for investigation. Please AVOID the area.
12:12 P.M.
Las Vegas police responded to the Budget Suites on West Tropicana Ave, where a man has died after being stabbed. Police say it appears to be his wife who stabbed him. She was taken to a local hospital with lacerations. The couples 3 children were present but unharmed during the incident.
10:30 A.M.
UPDATE: Henderon police reponded to a call where a person stated "get someone here, I'm going to stab someone." They encountered a person armed with a knife. The person with the knife came towards officers and that is when the police shot at the suspect. The person shot has been taken to a local hospital and is critical.
8:38 A.M.
Henderson Police Department officials are reporting police activity in the area of East Sunset Road and Green Valley Parkway. Commuters are being asked to avoid the area at this time. We will have a full update on the situation as soon as police provide the details.
